Homemade Sweet Sour Pickles

  • 2 lb. small cucumbers
  • 4 cups of water
  • 1 1/4 cups of Traditional White Balsamic Vinegar
  • 1/2 cup of sugar
  • 3 Tbsp salt
  • sprigs of dill
  • 1/2 tsp of chili peppers flakes (optional)
  • mustard seeds, optional
  • 1 Tbsp dried coriander


  1. Wash the cucumbers well.
  2. Wash and dry jars and lids.
  3. Place the cucumbers thickly in jars so that they do not rise to the surface after pouring the liquid.
  4. Add all remaining ingredients to a saucepot over medium heat.
  5. Bring to boil, and then cook until the salt and sugar are dissolved thoroughly over low heat.
  6. Pour the liquid over the cucumbers and close jars.
  7. Store them in a cool, dark place until time to use.
